About me

My interest in Chinese medicine began with having acupuncture treatment myself and being amazed by its effectiveness and seeing such a great improvement in my general health. I have been in clinical practice as an acupuncturist for 10 years and currently provide acupuncture in Bristol helping people with a  wide range of complaints. I trained at the London College of Traditional Acupuncture where I gained a BSc Hons in Acupuncture, which is validated by the University of Portsmouth. I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council, the UK’s largest professional body for acupuncturists. Membership of the BAcC guarantees excellence in training, safe practice and professional conduct.

I am also a member of the Acupuncture Fertility Network and have a commitment to ongoing postgraduate study in the areas of gynaecology and Fertility.

Being an acupuncturist is a commitment to lifelong learning and I love to keep up to date with the latest research and am dedicated to studying for  continued practitioner development. I am also one of the few practitioners in the UK to practice Master Tung style acupuncture alongside TCM, following my advanced training with Philip Weeks.

My own chronic health issues have given me a great personal understanding of the need for a holistic and integrated way of understanding the functioning of the body, and the frustrations people sometimes feel with western medical approach alone. As an acupuncturist my aim is to not only alleviate my patients symptoms and discomfort, but to also discover and treat the underlying root cause of the problem.
